Ravin'

The Hollywood studios seem to be warming up to having more film premieres in Downtown Los Angeles. Better yet, they're more willing to premiere films in historic Broadway theaters, bypassing the glossy stadium seating at LA Live on the other side of Downtown.

The Raven is set to screen at the Los Angeles Theatre on Monday. Maybe I'll swing by and see if John Cusack has completely transformed into Alan Rickman.

Centennial

This is where much of the new Muppet Movie was filmed. As the story goes, the muppets run the theater, but there's oil underneath and the Greedy Oil Tycoon wants to blow it up!

Really trying to succed

Sometimes I do wish I had good business sense. Well, I suppose some people have that entrepreneurial drive, while I should be satisfied with my little role in the local government world.

Hopefully tomorrow's "very important meeting" about my employer's budget woes doesn't hit home too hard. Best case scenario...the coffee fund gets slashed! That's a sure way to cut my caffeine dependency...
