Mas Moss

We had some time to kill before lunch at Versailles on Venice Boulevard, so we took another look at the ever-evolving Eric Owen Moss projects in Culver City.

Lookin' good. But I gotta add that my brother used to work in one of the buildings...from what he says, the interior was somewhat impractical for office work.

Centennial

This is where much of the new Muppet Movie was filmed. As the story goes, the muppets run the theater, but there's oil underneath and the Greedy Oil Tycoon wants to blow it up!

Hey...wasn't Scooter the nephew of the Muppet Theater owner on the old show?

Eames

After all these years we finally woke up and visited the Eames House in Pacific Palisades. Our friend Dave annoyed the docent by asking if there were any bathrooms, our other friend Howard annoyed him by pointing out the benefits of prefab housing, and I annoyed him by a joking about selling unlicensed/imitation Eames furniture. (I don't!)

And down-driveway is a sorta-hidden Neutra house. Nice enough if you can crane your neck. Some trivia...this is where the Godfather was edited, according to the annoyed Eames expert...

The slowest painter

Ok, this looks somewhat safer than the last time I saw this fellow in action at the corner of 6th and Broadway. Too bad my camera missed the one-legged wave he flashed.
